OKIMUN
Okinawa, Japan — Asia's forum for principled diplomacy and rigorous debate.
A Letter From
The Secretary General
Dear delegates and faculty advisors,
I am honored to welcome you to Okinawa Model United Nations.
Okinawa, known for its resilience in the face of hardship, particularly during World War II, stands today as a symbol of strength, peace, and perseverance. It is our hope that this same resilience and open-mindedness will be reflected in each of our delegates throughout the conference.
This year's theme, "Voyage: Navigating a Sea of Pandemonium," reflects the increasingly complex and uncertain global landscape we face today. Much like the tides that surround this island, the world is constantly shifting. It is through dialogue, cooperation, and diplomacy that we are able to find direction amidst this uncertainty.
Focus — VI Annual Session
Voyage:
Navigating a Sea of Pandemonium
In a world crowded with fractured alliances, mounting crises, and rapidly shifting priorities, this year's session invites delegates to chart a course through disorder with imagination, conviction, and a steady commitment to diplomacy.
Three Committees.
One Standard of Excellence.
Each committee addresses a substantive challenge in contemporary international affairs. All are staffed by a trained dais and expect thorough preparation from every delegate.
All committees are open to school delegations and individual applicants.
